Cybersecurity, IT Project Manager
The Project Manager will lead regulatory compliance initiatives for products that include digital or connected components. This role is responsible for developing and implementing compliance strategies, coordinating required documentation and reporting activities, and ensuring alignment with applicable cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
The Project Manager will oversee project timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including product development, IT, legal, quality, operations, and external partners. The role also involves monitoring evolving regulatory requirements and updating internal policies and processes accordingly.
This position will provide regular status updates to senior leadership, support audit activities, and promote best practices related to regulatory compliance and secure product development.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed project plans for regulatory and cybersecurity compliance initiatives.
- Coordinate preparation and maintenance of required technical documentation, including software component inventories (e.g., Software Bill of Materials).
- Ensure products meet cybersecurity and compliance requirements throughout the full product lifecycle, including secure design, vulnerability management, and incident response readiness.
- Lead cross-functional teams to execute deliverables within defined timelines and budgets.
- Identify project risks, manage mitigation strategies, and monitor critical paths to ensure successful delivery.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders and leadership regarding project progress and performance.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and oversee corrective and preventive actions as needed.
- Support training and awareness initiatives related to regulatory and cybersecurity requirements.
- Lead stage-gate reviews and cross-functional decision-making meetings.
- Continuously assess and improve processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and compliance outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of project management experience in new product development, ideally involving regulated or cybersecurity-sensitive products.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- Experience managing complex hardware and/or software development projects from concept through commercialization using structured development methodologies (e.g., stage-gate or agile frameworks).
- Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working with international regulatory or cybersecurity frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
