DevOps Automation Engineer; Top Secret Security Clearance

Position: DevOps Automation Engineer (Top Secret) with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seekinga Dev Ops Automation Engineer to support a critical, long-term, Defense program near Boulder, CO. The team is seeking an individual with expertise implementing, automating, and scaling services within cloud environments for Federal Defense and National Intelligence customers.

* Assist with the design, automate, and maintain container orchestration platforms.
* Build, configure, and deploy core infrastructure services-including identity and access management, network architecture, application security, logging, monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
* Collaborate closely with the team to plan and implement major product updates and enhancements.

* Provide architecture guidance, data migration implementation, and troubleshooting support to the implementation of services in the cloud
* Create pipelines using Ansible playbooks, and/or terraform configurations to automate administrative actions from creation to configuration

* Support production grade applications in virtualized and cloud environments using automation

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant work experience or Masters and 6+ years of related experience
* Active Top Secret clearance required, TS/SCI highly preferred
* Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public (AWS, Azure), private (RHOSP, VIO), and mixed cloud environments

* Container technologies such as Docker, or Kubernetes

* Deployment or use of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as Git Lab, Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef

* Utilizes Ansible playbooks and/or terraform configurations to automate administrative tasks
* Experience with encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing

* Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services, Open Stack, RHOSP, or VIO

* Management of Cloud Resources in Amazon Web Services, and/or Azure

* Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or Open Shift

* Open source server, messaging, load balancing, and database software (such as Rabbit

* Scalable networking technologies such as Load Balancers (NGINX)/Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms)
Compensation:
* Total compensation based on experience level - $140,000-$158,000
