Since our founding by 10 physicians in 1949, we have grown and evolved to meet the needs of Boulder County and beyond. BMC currently operates clinics in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Allergy team. This position is benefit eligible, full-time 36 hours per week Monday–Thursday with Friday off, 7:30 am–5 pm.

• Day shift schedules.
• Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.

• Recognizes, evaluates, and responds to emergency or unusual situations in the clinic using judgment within skill level to obtain additional help if needed, to ensure proper medical care.
• Receives all patient phone calls regarding medical concerns/questions, medication questions, immunization inquiries, patient forms (sports forms, camp forms, return to activity, etc.), and any other patient needs.
• Tracks immunization schedules and notifies physician of upcoming requirements.
• Directs patient medical concerns to proper member of the medical team (phone triage nurse, physician's clinic nurse, etc.).
• Returns patient calls as directed by triage nurse and physicians.

• Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
• Relates well and communicates with patients, providers, and staff.
• Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.

• Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
• Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials (examples include EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
• College graduates with a completed four-year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. College transcripts must reflect completed health science coursework. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred.

The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $18.91 - $25.21 per hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36).
