SummaryBoulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking medically trained candidates to join our Allergy team. This position is benefit eligible, full-time 36 hours per week Monday–Thursday with Friday off, 7:30 am–5 pm.

- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Recognizes, evaluates, and responds to emergency or unusual situations in the clinic using judgment within skill level to obtain additional help if needed, to ensure proper medical care.
- Receives all patient phone calls regarding medical concerns/questions, medication questions, immunization inquiries, patient forms (sports forms, camp forms, return to activity, etc.), and any other patient needs.
- Tracks immunization schedules and notifies physician of upcoming requirements.
- Directs patient medical concerns to proper member of the medical team (phone triage nurse, physician's clinic nurse, etc.).
- Returns patient calls as directed by triage nurse and physicians.
- Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
- Relates well and communicates with patients, providers, and staff.
- Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials (examples include EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four-year bachelor's degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. College transcripts must reflect completed health science coursework. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred.
The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $18.91 - $25.21 per hour (full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36).
