SummaryBoulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a Medical Assistant or medically trained candidate to join our OB/GYN team. This is a benefits-eligible position working four days per week with 9-hour shifts (36 hours/week), Monday-Friday, with a flexible day off based on clinic needs. The position is based at our Arapahoe clinic, 4745 Arapahoe Ave, Suite 200, Boulder, CO 80304, with required travel to our Longmont location.
In this role, you will support Erin Harper Sanchez, CNM, a certified nurse midwife who has been practicing with BMC since 2016. Erin provides a full scope of personalized midwifery care, including annual gynecological and well-woman exams, family planning and birth control counseling, childbirth education and support during delivery, and postpartum care.
The ideal candidate is compassionate, organized, and committed to providing patient-centered, whole-person care while supporting a collaborative OB/GYN practice.

- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment.
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies.
- Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked.
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system.
- Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
- Relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
- Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training, education, and proof of active certification is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. (Examples include but are not limited to: EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA, etc.).
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four (4) year bachelor s degree is an acceptable substitution of Medical Assistant specific credentials. College transcripts must reflect completed health science course work. Please submit a copy of your unofficial college transcripts at the time of applying.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) in a clinic setting, preferred.
The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $18.91 - $25.21/Hour (Full pay range is $18.91 - $28.36).
This position will be posted for a minimum of three days, subsequently until filled.
