We’re partnered directly with the North America CFO of a global pharmaceutical CDMO to identify a U.S. Finance Controller for a highly visible, newly created leadership role supporting continued investment, growth, and manufacturing expansion in Boulder.
Reporting to a transformative and well-regarded CFO
, the Controller serves as the voice and face of North America HQ controllership
, acting as a critical liaison between operations, commercial leadership, global finance, and executive stakeholders.
This role speaks on behalf of the CFO, provides visibility into business performance and key value drivers, delivers strategic and financial guidance, and leads the continued build-out of a high-performing corporate accounting organization
.
- Direct partnership with a senior, enterprise-level CFO
- High visibility with executive leadership and global finance
- Opportunity to influence strategy, controls, and finance infrastructure during a growth phase
- Lead and scale a corporate accounting team in a complex, regulated environment
- Lead consolidated financial accounting and reporting for North America in accordance with IFRS
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reporting
- Perform monthly balance sheet reviews with a strong focus on Net Working Capital and risk identification
- Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations with global partners
- Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Planning, Procurement, Quality, Treasury) to forecast cash and liquidity
- Provide oversight of cash management, payment runs, wires, and banking activity
- Support treasury initiatives including lines of credit, letters of credit, insurance coverage, and lease accounting
- Lead accounting operations across AP, AR, Payroll, and General Ledger
- Oversee payroll labor reconciliations (hours paid vs. hours worked)
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and mitigate financial risk
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and develop a growing team (currently 6 direct reports and expanding
) - Present financial insights clearly and confidently to executive audiences
- Drive change management initiatives as the organization continues to scale
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, CFA, MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, life sciences, or industrial environments
- Strong background in financial reporting, treasury, internal controls, and accounting operations
- Experience leading teams within global, multi-site organizations
- Hands‑on experience with SAP ERP (FI, CO, MM)
- Comfortable operating in highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Influential leadership style with the ability to translate financial data into executive‑level insights
