Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise two staff accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Conduct weekly reviews of sales pricing tests and payment files to maintain compliance and accuracy.
- Manage month-end tasks including profit and loss reviews, inventory adjustments, and reconciliation of various accounts.
- Record and reconcile prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation, and inventory reserves.
- Prepare and review marketing actuals, gross-to-net forecasts, and other financial projections following month-end closures.
- Set up items and bills of materials in Quick Books, ensuring proper pricing updates and customer additions.
- Handle credit applications and maintain compliance with local sales tax certificates.
- Collaborate on audits and tax filings, including Boulder property tax and state tax requirements.
- Perform inventory cost tests and maintain accurate records of tariffs and miscellaneous accruals.
- Generate reports for disposal and donation activities, providing detailed documentation to stakeholders. Requirements - At least 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in Quick Books Online and strong knowledge of inventory reconciliation processes.
- Expertise in month-end close procedures, including account reconciliation and journal entries.
- Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss analysis and financial forecasting.
- Proven ability to lead and develop accounting teams effectively.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with financial audits and preparation of accurate financial statements.
