We are presently seeking a Senior Fabrication Process Engineer who will sustain and improve fabrication processes for the successful execution of production optics manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities
* Serve as a technical subject matter expert for optical component fabrication processes.
* Create and improve documentation for the manufacturing of optical components.
* Provide hands-on engineering support and train technicians on fabrication process execution.
* Monitor and drive improvement of production fabrication processes and equipment using SPC.
* Support troubleshooting of existing fabrication processes.
* Review, disposition, and reduce non-conforming material.
* Assist in the transfer of optical fabrication process technologies from R&D to production.
* Identify, justify, and qualify new equipment into production.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.)
* 10+ years of optical component fabrication experience desirable.
* Proficiency with Solid Works or other CAD software desirable.
* Proficiency with SPC desirable.
* Experience with optical alignment and bonding desirable.

Pay Range: $105, per year, depending on experience.
