Mission

Based on guidance from NASA and private operators, ASP’s core focus is the development of the spaceflight industry and its professionals, and its mission is to provide opportunities and resources to spaceflight professionals and professionals‑in‑training to enable key milestones in human spaceflight.

Lines of Business
  • Delivery of a variety of products and services to individual members, including professional road maps, funding facilitation, science and engineering technological development, and career services.
  • Development of an internal science and engineering portfolio for the advancement of the state-of-the‑art in microgravity technology.
  • Direct partnerships with cross‑segment industry operators, including private, public, and military. These relationships focus on promotional, professional certifications, operational, and scientific outcomes.
Responsibilities

Work with a dynamic team on the forefront of professional advancement in human spaceflight. Coordinate directly with the Chief Industry Officer to identify and remain informed of the competency needs of industry employers specific to human spaceflight and commercial stations. Coordinate the development of certifications strategy and execution. Develop and deliver professional certification taxonomies in coordination with academic partners, commercial partners, and third‑party credentialing providers.

Qualifications

Experience in most/all of the following spaceflight industry environment including the development of the cislunar economy, workforce integration and human resources, certification taxonomy development, standards development, partner relationship management.
