Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and high performing Systems Engineer to join the team in Denver/Boulder, CO. This position is in support of the Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS) SPICE program, responsible for performing intersegment testing between the mission control station and external users.

You will interface with various USSF and Joint organizations and their supporting contractors and will define the scope of testing necessary to verify system and vehicle specifications.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare for and participate in meetings, boards, and design reviews
• Perform technical planning, system integration and verification and validation

• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer requirements are captured in contractual required documentation

• Assist program plan development to ensure requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled Important Details
• Successful candidate will have 5+ professional years of systems engineering experience

• Ability to work onsite full-time at our Boulder, CO facility

• Active Secret security clearance

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field; or equivalent work experience
• Systems engineering knowledge or experience with testing and problem solving for integrated systems
• Experience developing and executing test plans
• Active or Current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance, thus US citizenship is required.

• Experience with OPIR and/or SBIRS mission processing and vehicle pre-launch testing
• Ability to absorb extensive technical detail and logically formulate solutions for execution on an inflexible schedule, often requiring integration of conflicting and, at times, incomplete data
• Ability to interact with hardware and software developers to ensure mission requirements are satisfied
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with strong presentation skills and capable of briefing audiences of varying technical knowledge
• Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
