Overview
Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Early Career Research Scientist. The role focuses on developing and optimizing remote sensing algorithms, performing simulations, and advancing processing chains for space‑based systems.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, refine, and develop remote sensing algorithms.
- Optimize algorithms and processing chains written in C and enhance them for various use cases.
- Perform simulation and analysis for remote sensing systems.
- Degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in MATLAB and another programming language.
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance required for this role.
- Proficient in C & Python.
- Experience with hardware acceleration technologies (e.g., GPUs, FPGAs).
- Understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs, transformers).
- Experience in remote sensing.
- Experience with software version control such as GIT.
- Applied mathematics or algorithm development experience.
- Strong experience in software design and development.
- Active security clearance.
Boulder, Colorado – onsite full‑time at a Lockheed Martin facility.
