Role OverviewWe’reseekingan
RF&Analog Electronics Engineer to lead the design and development of precision, low‑noise, mixed‑signal electronics for our quantum devices. You’ll work across disciplines to integrate electronics with optics, vacuum, and quantum systems—contributing to the heart of a new class of quantum sensors.
This is a hands‑on, deeply technical role that will shape the future of Mesa’s products and platform.
Key Responsibilities- Designandcharacterize
low-noise, low-tempco analog circuits
, including amplifiers, filters, voltage regulators, and PID controllers - Buildandoptimize
precisionsignalchains
foratom‑basedquantumsystems - Perform
PCBlayout for high‑frequency, low‑noise, and mixed‑signal circuits, including multilayer compact boards - Collaborate closely with AMO and systems teams to co‑design electronics with lasers, photodiodes, and MEMS packaging
- Prototype, test, and iterate using tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, lock‑in amps, VNAs, and Allan deviation analyzers
- Developandautomatetestsetupsforperformancevalidationanddatalogging
Analog&Mixed‑Signal Electronics
- Low‑noise analog design & signal conditioning
- ADC/DAC integration
- Low‑distortion analog front ends
- Oscillatorandsynthesizerdesign(3–4GHzrange)
- PCBdesignwith Altiumor Ki Cad
- Co-designwithphotonics/optical systems
- SPICEandRFsimulationtools(LTspice,ADS,HFSS)
- Git/Gitlabforversioncontrol
- Experiencewithatomicphysicsprinciples(e.g.,rubidiumorcesiumtransitions)
- Familiarity with
MEMSintegration,vacuum systems,oroptoelectronicpackaging - Priorworkonqualificationforaerospaceordefenseapplications
- Designforhigh‑volumemanufacturability(DFM)
- Youcareaboutbuildingrealhardwarethatships.

- You thrive in interdisciplinary environments and want to work closely with physicists, engineers, and product teams.
The salary range for this position is between $140,000 – $180,000 including bonuses, commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, we offer incentive stock options for equity in the company.
