Bonai Shalom Welcomes Our First Rabbinic Intern
Hannah Kapnik Ashar, an alumna of Yeshivat Hadar, the Pardes Institute, Wellesley College, and Kevah Teacher Training, will be Bonai Shalom’s first ever rabbinic intern.
Hannah will work closely with the rabbi and others in a variety of ritual, educational and pastoral roles, helping with coverage while the rabbi is away and supporting our programming and services when present. Her internship term runs through mid‑May to coincide with the academic calendar.
She is Faculty and Community Educator for the Bronfman Youth Fellowship in Israel and has collaboratively developed several Jewish learning initiatives, including the Tefilah Retreat, the Come & Listen podcast, and the Girls In Trouble Curriculum, exploring creative interpretation of women’s stories in Torah. She has also worked as a birth doula.
