Job Summary
We invite applications for a Curriculum & Sustainability Education Program Manager at the Buckley Center for Sustainability Education (BCSE)! The PM will work collaboratively with the Faculty Associate Director for Curriculum (FAD) and the rest of the BCSE team to develop programs and partnerships with educators at local, state, national and international levels for the improvement of teaching and learning. Reporting to the BCSE Director of Operations, the PM enhances and advances BCSE faculty and staff expertise as they provide external support for curriculum-focused activities, including courses, workshops, consultations, asynchronous resources, and related professional development activities.
The PM also helps to advance the University-wide sustainability initiatives in OVCS and across our communities at multiple levels, in coordination with on‑campus CU Boulder activities.

Strategic Leadership Support- Partner with executive leadership, faculty, and administrators to coordinate a coherent, campus‑wide sustainability portfolio, supporting strategy development, academic collaborations, student engagement, and operational initiatives.
- Support the design and implementation of structures that enhance collaboration across CU Boulder colleges, centers, and administrative units.
- Assist in building and maintaining external partnerships with universities, government agencies, NGOs, corporations, foundations, and multilateral organizations.
- Provide project management for critical initiatives that position CU Boulder as a hub for sustainability research, education, operations, and community engagement at local, state, and national levels.
- Generate key performance indicators and track and report progress toward sustainability curriculum goals and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the BSCE Director of Partnerships and Engagement (DoPE).
- Organize campus‑wide sustainability project competitions and conferences to increase student engagement in curriculum.
- Assist in meeting with employers to create pathways bringing students employment through project competition.
- Work with FAD and DoPE for oversight and assistance; track key performance indicators to report progress.
- Coordinate with faculty leaders to integrate sustainability into curriculum development and support the growth of sustainability‑related academic programs and student opportunities.
- Support committees and cross‑campus groups advancing sustainability and climate justice as well as future focus areas.
- Help connect sustainability initiatives with CU Boulder’s research strengths, working with institutes such as CIRES, INSTAAR, IBS, and RASEI.
- Help connect sustainability initiatives with CU Boulder’s performing arts, humanities, and other non‑STEM fields.
- Handle communication and engagement strategies to promote CU Boulder’s sustainability education priorities.
- Build, support and help maintain relationships with key external partners, including the City of Boulder and other Colorado communities.
- Work with FAD and Buckley Curriculum Ambassadors (BCAs) to coordinate faculty commitments and student opportunities, faculty committees, and student organizations.
- Coordinate with BCAs to summarize activities, compile results and create summary reports; liaise and collaborate with FAD and BCAs on curriculum development; assist in creating certifications, micro‑credentials, and seals employer‑recognized in collaboration with FAD and DoPE.
