Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder Law School encourages applications for an Admissions Coordinator
! This position provides comprehensive support, office management, and is the primary admissions event coordinator. This role requires frequent engagement with a diverse range of individuals, including prospective students, faculty, staff, and external visitors. These responsibilities ensure a seamless, welcoming, and highly effective admissions experience for all who engage with Colorado Law.

Key Responsibilities Admissions Decision Processing
  • Compile data regarding prospective, admitted, and matriculating students to enhance effectiveness of recruiting efforts.
  • Analyze admissions data from query reports.
  • Process applications to the JD and MSL programs daily, reviewing new applications.
  • Supervise and train work‑study students in processing applications.
  • Design and implement training materials for student hires.
  • Prepare and disseminate all decisions (admit, deny, waitlist) and prepare packets for admitted students.
  • Process waitlist email forms and withdrawals.
  • Respond to fee waiver requests.
Office Management
  • Serve as initial point of contact for the admissions office and manage communications.
  • Update and improve the admissions section of the law school website.
  • Manage law school tours, campus information sessions, and campus visits.
  • Ensure front desk is staffed during regular office hours, including hiring, training, and supervising 2 work‑study students and 6 student tour guides.
  • Manage expense reporting and financial records in accordance with University policy.
  • Design a comprehensive organizational framework to ensure timely completion of all responsibilities.
  • Uphold and reflect Colorado Law’s values by demonstrating professionalism and fostering a welcoming environment for prospective students.
Travel Planning and Booking
  • Book recruiting forums/fairs and make travel arrangements for admissions office personnel in Concur.
  • Prepare and reconcile travel reimbursements.
  • Manage and coordinate delivery of materials for traveling events.
Event Management
  • Manage logistics of admissions office events, including vendor coordination, parking, deciding on event marketing communication plans, event preparation, and teardown.
  • Purchase goods and services in accordance with University policy.
  • Prepare and monitor the budget of expenses for admissions office‑sponsored events. Process post‑event paperwork and payment, as necessary.
  • Delegate event‑related duties to students.
  • Manage catering and event budget.
What You Should Know

This is a primarily in‑person position with the potential for one day a week to be remote after training is complete. The anticipated work schedule is Monday – Friday during regular business hours. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

What We Can Offer

The salary range is $50,000 – $60,000 annually. Relocation assistance is available within departmental guidelines.
