Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Office Administrator/ Coordinator
Boulder County Community Planning and Permitting Department is seeking to hire an Hourly Accounting Clerk. The Community Planning & Permitting Department is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our finance team on an hourly, part-time basis. The Accounting Clerk will primarily assist the finance team with data entry, record maintenance, and other clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
This is anhourly, non-benefitedposition that will work 15-20 hours per week in a flexible schedule, generally Monday - Friday with at least one day in our physical office required. This position will work remote and out of 2045 13th St., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is non-exempt(eligible for overtime).
Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Inputting a variety of financial transactions into our accounting system, Oracle, with accuracy and attention to detail
Matching invoices to purchase orders, processing payments to vendors, and maintaining vendor information
Ensuring accurate and up-to-date maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, spreadsheets, and journals
Providing general administrative support to the financial team such as mailings, scanning, and electronic file maintenance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of:
- A high school diploma, or equivalent
AND
- 1 (one) year of experience in clerical accounting or bookkeeping
Additional related education may count towards required experience.
BACKGROUND CHECK :

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Oracle
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Detail-oriented and self-directed
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Basic knowledge of modern office and bookkeeping practices and procedures
- Skill in operating office equipment
- Ability to make simple mathematical computations
- Ability to work effectively with other employees and the public
