Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Boulder, Colorado. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, accounting skills, and a collaborative mindset. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting audit preparations.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end closing activities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

- Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.

- Utilize Sage Intacct to streamline accounting processes and ensure efficiency.

- Support audit preparation by organizing financial documents and responding to auditor requests.

- Assist with monthly accounting tasks to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.

- Maintain a relaxed and detail-focused approach to foster a positive and productive work environment.

- Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for process improvements. Requirements - At least 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.

- Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.

- Strong skills in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts.

- Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.

- Familiarity with Sage Intacct software is highly desirable.

- Ability to assist with audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Comfortable working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
