Principal Engineer – Aesthetic Medical Device (Bothell, WA)

• Develop system and software verification tests using C, C++ and C# for medical devices.
• Lead design and code reviews and coordinate design verification testing on embedded Linux and Windows CE platforms.
• Write test protocols, scripts and reports; perform regression analysis and maintain traceability with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Identify and analyze defect root causes, conduct testing, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to determine corrective actions.
• Support project planning and use scheduling software such as MS Project.
• Ensure compliance with FDA Quality System and Design Control requirements, ISO 13485, IEC 14971, IEC 60601, and EN IEC 62304.

• BS or MS in Engineering and at least 10 years of experience designing, validating, and testing complex electromechanical systems, with 5+ years in medical devices.
• Strong knowledge of system engineering concepts and experience with embedded platforms (Windows CE, Embedded Linux).
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, C++, Visual Basic, or MATLAB.
• Experience with verification tools and defect tracking (Test Track, JIRA).
• Demonstrated ability to use requirements management tools (DOORS/DOORS NG).
• Experience in risk management, usability engineering (EN IEC 62366), and compliance with QSR and ISO 13485.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.

• Travel to local sites occasionally (short duration trips).
• Work with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Competitive base salary ($115K‑158K) plus annual bonus or sales incentive, health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and other standard benefits.
