Operations Specialist

Overview

The purpose of this position is to manage the agents field inventory including instruments, implants, and disposables. Performs preoperative and postoperative equipment management and is responsible for tracking all assets. Ensures assets are properly managed and utilized in the territory and that all surgeries are equipped with required inventory needs.

• Work closely with Sales Team, Surgeons, Operating Room Personnel, Central Processing, Biomedical, and other personnel.
• Partner with the ATEC Field Operations team – main point of contact for all Operational inquiries.
• Provide weekly reports to ATEC Field Operations regarding case schedule and inventory position.
• Implement a shared calendar if one does not exist.
• Track all surgical sets and implement an inventory tracking system utilizing the ATEC set scanning tool.
• Maximize utilization of consigned sets.
• If a local driver exists, direct the driver to pick up and drop off locations and provide set lists.
• Swap out consigned torque wrenches every 6 months.
• Manage expiration dates of products and return/swap accordingly.
• Perform reverse logistics, ensuring timely returns of inventory and requesting extensions when needed.
• Track replenishment and ensure all consigned sets are stocked appropriately.
• Package and unpack all Fed Ex shipments (incoming and outgoing).
• Inspect trays as necessary.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workflow to meet established deadlines.
• Ability to work within a cross-functional team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet applications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
• Ability to travel approximately 10 percent of the time.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Driver's License.
