This position will be a hybrid work arrangement. You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed.
Our Quantitative Investment Science group is looking for a motivated Data Engineer to help produce innovative applications that create competitive advantage for Harbour Vest in the Private Equity space. This engineer will contribute to this effort through their focus on application and data quality as well as process automation.
Responsibilities- Assist the Quantitative Investment Systems group in testing and deploying internal applications
- Code, run and maintain test suites for applications and data validation purposes
- Take ownership of feature implementation on our Data Platform
- Work with Data, Dev Ops and Application development teams on integrating automated testing with CI/CD processes
- Implement data quality pipeline frameworks
- Implement data warehouse pipelines and modeling
- Demonstrated ability in Data Engineering and Analysis
- Proven experience with data-centric testing and deployment of Fin Tech based applications, data analysis, data pipelines and ETL for large datasets
- Proficiency in MSSQL or equivalent SQL RDBMS
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity working in a scrum/agile SDLC environment
- Experience with DBT
- Experience with Azure resources like ADF, App services
- Experience with MS Synapse and Snowflake desired
- Preferred but not vital:
Business Intelligence and experience in Analytics applications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S) or equivalent experience
- Master of Science (M.S) or equivalent experience
- 2-3 Years of Data Engineering experience preferred

This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus, total compensation may include eligibility for long-term reward programs and a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement, health, insurance, paid time off, and wellness programs.
