Job Description: Android Developer
Location: Boston, Massachusetts (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 9 Months
Role OverviewWe are seeking a senior Android developer with proven experience in Android native test automation solutions. This role involves designing, developing, and prototyping Android mobile applications for both internal and external use. The position requires participation in the full application life‑cycle, including developing automation scripts, testing, and releasing to the app store, while collaborating with product teams on new ideas and designs.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the design team to define application features.
- Ensure the quality and performance of the application meet specifications.
- Identify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks.
- Fix application bugs before the final release.
- Participate in publishing applications on the App Store.
- Maintain the application's code and automation scripts.
- Write and maintain documentation for all features in development.
- Drive best practices for the continuous improvement of products, processes, and tools.
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering is required.
Experience: 5-7 years of proven experience in Android Development is required.
Technical
Skills:
- Proficiency in Kotlin and Core Java.
- Experience writing automated tests for the Android platform using frameworks like Appium.
- Experience designing and building native mobile applications on the Android platform.
- Proficiency in Objective‑C, Swift, and Swift UI.
- Knowledge of C‑based libraries and familiarity with biometrics, push notifications, and camera APIs.
- Proficiency with code versioning tools, including Git and Bitbucket.
- Knowledge of Web Services, REST Services, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and XML.
- Experience with Co‑Pilot.
This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite, starting from day one.
