As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the software that powers our partner’s robotic systems.
Our partner has a multidisciplinary engineering team and plans to expand it by 25% in 2026. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer who is both a strong collaborator and a mentor to fellow team members. To encourage collaboration and team engagement, this position is onsite three days per week at our client’s Boston office. In this role, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams while maintaining and advancing embedded platform services, making a significant impact on embedded consumer products.

Requirements
• 4+ years of experience in C/C++ and embedded systems development.
• Proven track record in delivering safety‑critical software, especially in fields like autonomous vehicles, driver assistance systems, robotics, or medical devices.
• Experience with time‑sensitive control systems and real‑time operating systems (RTOS), including networking in real‑time environments.
• Experience with functional safety standards.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear technical documentation and deliver presentations on complex topics.
• Expertise in working with sensor data, including cameras, lidars, radars, and IMUs, to build performant software systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Embedded Software Development:
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for robotic systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and safety.
• System Integration:
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software.
• Real‑Time Systems:
Implement software for real‑time control, feedback mechanisms, and sensor integration.
• Testing and Debugging:
Perform comprehensive testing and debugging to ensure robust and reliable system operation.
• Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation covering software design, development, and testing.

Collaboration:
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and application engineering teams to achieve project objectives.
