The Red Hat Open Shift AI (RHOAI) team is looking for a Software Engineer with Kubernetes and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) experience to join our rapidly growing engineering team. Our focus is to create a platform, partner ecosystem, and community by which enterprise customers can solve problems to accelerate business success using AI. You will be contributing as a core developer for AI Pipelines, the core MLOps orchestration tool for Open Shift AI. You will work as part of an evolving development team to rapidly design, secure, build, test, and release new capabilities. This role is for an individual contributor who collaborates closely with other developers and cross‑functional teams. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in both our downstream efforts as well as the upstream Kubeflow Pipelines () project.

• Contribute to the architecture, design, development, and testing of new features and solutions for Kubeflow Pipelines and Red Hat Open Shift AI Pipelines
• Innovate in the MLOps domain by participating in upstream communities, particularly Kubeflow Pipelines
• Ensure non‑functional requirements including security, resiliency, performance, and maintainability are met
• Write, maintain, and execute unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests to ensure product quality, performance, and security
• Use CI/CD best practices to deliver solutions efficiently into RHOAI
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by sharing recommendations and technical knowledge with team members
• Collaborate with product management, other engineering, and cross‑functional teams to analyze and clarify business requirements
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members to ensure proper visibility of development efforts
• Give thoughtful and prompt code reviews that uphold quality and maintainability standards
• Proactively utilize AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto‑completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality

• Minimum of 2 years of experience developing applications in Go or Python, or another programming language
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Open Shift, or other cloud‑native technologies
• Strong foundation in software quality practices, including writing unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests, and familiarity with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to quickly learn and use new tools and technologies, including AI‑assisted development tools
• Experience with source code management tools such as Git
• Good system understanding and troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
