Embedded Linux Field Engineer at Nordic Semiconductor
The Embedded Linux Field Engineer will develop our embedded Linux SDK written in Rust, working closely with cutting‑edge hardware companies to integrate support for new features and ensure seamless operation across major IoT device distributions.
Key Responsibilities- Work with sales and customer success teams to design solutions that solve real‑world business problems for prospects and customers.
- Improve the Linux SDK to work on every major embedded Linux distribution across IoT devices.
- Engage directly with firmware engineers at cutting‑edge hardware companies to integrate the platform.
- Build out and improve reference examples, SDK documentation, and automated tests.
- Ship code early and often to customers, seeing devices in the wild running your code.
- 3+ years of experience writing Rust/C/C++ code on embedded Linux devices, typically Arm CPUs.
- Well‑versed in Yocto or Buildroot.
- Great communicator, credible with technical buyers, and clear with business stakeholders.
- Organized, efficient, and passionate about automated testing and CI/CD.
- Love teaching and solving problems, eager to have a major impact on product, business, and culture.
- Caring and kind: other people do better when they work with you.
- Strong communicator, both conversationally and in written form.
- Excited about contributing across firmware, operating systems, web, and distributed systems.

Benefits- The salary range for this role is (110,000 – 187,000 USD). Exact salary is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience.
