- Design, build, and maintain a portfolio of serverless and internally‑built applications using AWS Native services, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC.
- Implement secure, scalable integrations across internal and external systems.
- Write clean, testable code aligned with technical specifications.
- Automate infrastructure deployments using CDK.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines (preferably Git Hub Actions).
- Collaborate with Tech Lead, Solution Architects, and Product Owners to understand and deliver requirements.
- Encourage a test‑driven approach by adopting unit tests.
- Act as a collaborative partner working with scrum masters, product owners, and fellow engineers to tackle technical challenges and ensure quality while migrating from legacy technologies to next‑generation applications.
- Serve as a comprehensive problem‑solver: manage end‑to‑end development of software products, analyze issues at the system level, and handle any complications by implementing effective solutions.
- Lead technical engineering: document and lead the implementation of technical features, improvements, and innovations.
- Think ahead: use proactive mindset and initiative to continually improve performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Minimum of five years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with Java (Spring MVC, Spring Boot), JavaScript (NodeJS), Type Script (Angular), Git/Git Hub, Bootstrap, OAuth2, and Dynamo
DB. - Extensive understanding of Agile software development concepts and processes.
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, and Lambdas.
- Experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Dynamo
DB, RDS, SQS, SNS, and Cloud Watch. - Familiarity with API specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Experience with CI/CD tools/techniques and Dev Ops practices.
- Strong understanding of architecture patterns: serverless, microservice, event‑driven.
- Strong programming discipline: unit testing, fault tolerance, data structures, complexity analysis, and design patterns.
- Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, technical standards, cloud security, and privacy policies.
- Extensive understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery.
- Strong collaboration, team‑first mentality, prioritization, and adaptability.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills.
- Proficient in negotiation, facilitation, and consensus‑building skills.
- Openness and adaptability to respond to fast‑moving circumstances; growth mindset.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with reinsurance.
