Senior Mobile Developer

Position Overview

Senior Mobile Developer to join engineering team in Boston office. Requires strong background in iOS and Android development or deep expertise in one with motivation to learn the other. Working on end-to-end encryption product. Hybrid: two in-office days a week.

• Design, develop, and maintain product features for iOS and Android applications.
• Apply best practices for mobile app architecture, performance, and maintainability.
• Write high-quality, testable, and reusable code using mobile best practices.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes for mobile applications.

• BS or MS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles, data structures, and algorithms.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying mobile applications for commercial products.
• Strong understanding of native mobile development using Swift for iOS, and/or Kotlin for Android.
• Experience with mobile networking, RESTful APIs, and Web Socket communication.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Quick).
• Understanding of App Store and Google Play deployment processes.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

• Familiarity with cryptography and privacy-focused architectures, or strong motivation to learn.
• Familiarity with functional reactive programming (e.g., Reactive
  
  X).
• Previous work with data synchronization across users and across devices.
