Senior Software Engineer, Platform Infrastructure

This role sits at the center of a technical environment that supports large scale digital products. You will shape the systems that power modern cloud platforms, create tools that help engineers deliver exceptional experiences, and guide the evolution of core infrastructure used across the organization. The work blends software engineering, architectural vision, and a passion for building reliable systems that developers love.

You will focus on the essential services that form the backbone of the engineering ecosystem. Your work will create clear, consistent paths for product teams to build, run, and maintain their applications with confidence. By designing and delivering well‑crafted platform components, you will help teams move with greater speed and clarity.

• Create and deliver core platform services that elevate the productivity of engineering teams and support the growth of distributed systems at scale.
• Develop a nuanced understanding of technical needs across the company and transform those insights into practical platform building blocks such as compute orchestration, storage, queuing systems, and foundational infrastructure.
• Design and implement software that significantly improves reliability, scalability, latency, and efficiency throughout the platform.
• Build systems and processes that support highly available applications and help teams meet strong service level expectations.
• Use technologies such as Python, Go, AWS, and Kubernetes to expand and strengthen platform capabilities.
• Partner with fellow engineers, offering mentorship and guidance centered on performance, resilience, automated recovery, configuration as code, and thoughtful defensive programming.

• Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Five or more years of experience managing and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Strong background working in cloud native environments.
• Hands on experience developing software in Python and Go.
• Solid understanding of Linux and the full networking stack.
• Experience in one or more areas related to modern platform engineering such as container orchestration, infrastructure as code, traffic management, observability, or asynchronous processing systems.
• Genuine interest in emerging AI tools and a desire to experiment with them to improve engineering efficiency and quality.
