Family Support Specialist (Family Stabilization Specialist)

Employment type:

part‑time, flexible. Reporting to:
Family Stabilization Specialist Supervisor.

Pay

Base pay range: $20.00/hr – $23.00/hr this range is provided by Children's Services of Roxbury, Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct 1–2 weekly home visits with families to provide concrete support and coaching.
  • Collaborate closely with DCF collaterals and other providers to ensure coordinated care.
  • Support families in accessing education, employment, medical care, housing, and legal resources.
  • Provide advocacy and crisis support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate case records and documentation, including service plans, assessments, and progress notes.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field; or 5+ years of direct case management or counseling experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid time management and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual capacity (English/Spanish or Haitian Creole).
  • Experience working with DCF or supporting families in crisis.
  • Culturally responsive approach and deep understanding of family systems and trauma‑informed care.
