Territory: Central Massachusetts & Greater Boston Suburbs (Worcester + nearby communities)

Schedule: Full-Time

Field: Fire Protection / Life Safety Systems

Compensation: $46–$55/hour based on experience (open to discussion for the right background)

Avoid the daily grind into downtown Boston and put your expertise to work closer to home. This role focuses on projects throughout Central Massachusetts and surrounding suburbs—where skilled sprinkler fitters are in high demand and commute times are realistic.

Position Overview

Verve Search Group is partnering with a well-established national fire protection contractor seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to support their Central Massachusetts operations. In this role, you’ll handle installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a variety of fire suppression systems, contributing directly to safe, code-compliant facilities across the region.

You’ll work both independently and as part of a collaborative field team, maintaining high-quality standards on every job.

Key Duties

• Install new fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and local codes
• Inspect, service, and repair wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems
• Perform hydrant flow testing and backflow preventer testing
• Identify system issues and complete repairs, including fire pump troubleshooting
• Review and follow construction drawings, plans, and schematics
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pipe-threading equipment
• Maintain accurate job documentation using both digital and paper records
• Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers to ensure smooth job execution
• Work comfortably at heights, in tight spaces, and with materials weighing up to 70 lbs

Qualifications & Experience

• 5–7+ years of experience installing and servicing fire sprinkler systems
• Strong understanding of fire protection system components and operation
• Mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work independently while following direction when needed
• Familiarity with tablets, laptops, or digital blueprint software is a plus
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented mindset
