Position Overview
Verve Search Group is partnering with a well-established national fire protection contractor seeking an experienced Sprinkler Fitter to support their Central Massachusetts operations. In this role, you’ll handle installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a variety of fire suppression systems, contributing directly to safe, code-compliant facilities across the region.
You’ll work both independently and as part of a collaborative field team, maintaining high-quality standards on every job.
Key Duties
- Install new fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA and local codes
- Inspect, service, and repair wet, dry, and pre-action sprinkler systems
- Perform hydrant flow testing and backflow preventer testing
- Identify system issues and complete repairs, including fire pump troubleshooting
- Review and follow construction drawings, plans, and schematics
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and pipe-threading equipment
- Maintain accurate job documentation using both digital and paper records
- Coordinate with customers, supervisors, and coworkers to ensure smooth job execution
- Work comfortably at heights, in tight spaces, and with materials weighing up to 70 lbs
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience installing and servicing fire sprinkler systems
- Strong understanding of fire protection system components and operation
- Mechanical aptitude with excellent attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently while following direction when needed
- Familiarity with tablets, laptops, or digital blueprint software is a plus
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented mindset
