The Pipefitter is responsible for selecting appropriate types and sizes of pipes, supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders based on job specifications.
- They interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and ensure proper installation.
- Cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
- Use hand and power tools to fabricate and assemble pipe components accurately.
- Test piping systems for leaks and proper function, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain and repair existing piping systems, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
- Coordinate with other construction team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
