Job Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for the overall management of the security department (event and 24 hr.) to ensure guest, employee, artist and venue safety. Also, control’s cost and ensures total guest satisfaction by guarding, patrolling, monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules.

What This Role Will Do
  • Work with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures that relate to the security department as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Monitor, screen and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, vendors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
  • Provide guidance and improvement and implement necessary adjustments for all security procedures related to fans and employees.
  • Investigate and resolve security complaints; interact positively with guests.
  • Circulate among visitors, fans, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Interview, recruit, hire, train, supervise, counsel, inspire and discipline security staff for the efficient operation of the security department.
  • Organize and conduct meetings and communicate pertinent information to the staff; schedule and direct staff in their work assignments.
  • Regularly review and evaluate the department and recommend and implement new operational policies and procedures when necessary, including efficient staffing levels.
  • Perform regular audits with security staff to ensure Global Security standards are being met and exceeded, adhering to SOP’s.
  • Evaluate every event with risk assessment and offer suggestions for our collective success.
  • Advance security needs with upcoming shows (concerts and private events alike) to ensure the venue is properly staffed and prepared for events needs.
  • Work with a diverse group of co-workers and develop strong working relationships across all departments.
What This Person Will Bring
  • College Degree or equivalent preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role; in certain states a Guard Card is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
  • A strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs.
  • Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
