Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Shift

As a Security Officer – Unarmed Patrol Shift in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a residential location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to deter security-related incidents.

You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and provide courteous customer service with clear communication.

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time

Mon 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Tue 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Wed 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Thu 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Fri 04:00 PM – 12:00 AM

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to the appropriate parties as required by post orders.

• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout residential common areas, amenity spaces, parking areas, and the property perimeter as directed.

• Monitor access points and observe for suspicious or unusual activity, helping to deter policy violations and/or unauthorized entry.

• Complete reports and activity logs, document incidents, and escalate maintenance concerns and/or hazards according to site procedures.

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Background investigation as required by federal, state, and local laws;
  Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws.

• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
