Job Skills / RequirementsNortheast Security is looking for a Security Outdoor Patrol Officer in Boston, MA. Pay rate: $23.00/hour. Parking is provided on‑site.
Schedule:
Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Computer literacy is required (MS Windows, Outlook, One Note).
- Minimum of 2 years of security experience.
- Constant foot patrol and monitoring outdoors in all weather conditions for the majority of the shift.
- Respond to emergency situations involving patrons with quality‑of‑life issues such as homelessness and addictions.
- Write incident reports.
- Remain alert and active on foot for the majority of the shift.
- De‑escalate irate tenant/customer calls and access requests.
- Excellent computer skills utilizing multiple screens.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Dependable means of transportation.
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English (written and verbal).
- High‑school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Pass all pre‑employment background and drug screenings.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Respond to emergency situations in person.
- Operate outdoors in all weather conditions to monitor, patrol, and respond to threats/emergencies.
- Use modern technology to monitor a variety of alarm signals and respond/dispatch security personnel to those areas following the standard operations manual.
- Answer incoming lines.
- Work individually and as a team to respond to incidents.
- Review security footage and conduct investigations of incidents.
- Remain calm and work well in a fast‑paced environment.
- Patrol and monitor multiple premises to detect irregularities, including suspicious behavior or security breaches.
- Observe and report incidents or suspicious activity.
- Communicate with local law enforcement units and fire departments as necessary.
- Conduct foot patrols of the premises.
- Write detailed daily reports on incidents that occurred on the premises.
- Maintain proper use, completion, and submission of all forms associated with patrol activities and/or duties.
- Respond to requests for assistance and evaluate appropriate courses of action.
- Comply with all requirements/directives within the on‑site operations manual/post orders.
- Assume other duties as required by either client or Northeast Security, Inc.
