As a Security Officer - Access Control Dock in Boston, MA
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, help deter security‑related incidents, and provide a visible presence. You will conduct routine patrols, assist visitors, and manage access points while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and other personnel at the logistics and distribution location.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment, subject to state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
