Job Description- Operate and maintain NGS sequencers (Illumina and Oxford Nanopore platforms).
- Work in the sequencing space cross-functionally, executing quality controls and DNA/RNA quantification, and NGS library preparation.
- Effectively manage inventory of DNA, RNA, libraries, and sequencing reagents.
- Meet maintenance schedules and deadlines without supervision.
- Maintain detailed documentation of NGS run performance and scientific work in an electronic notebook (ELN).
- B.S. in biological or biochemical sciences (or a related field) with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Hands‑on experience with basic molecular biology techniques: PCR, qPCR, nucleic acid quantification methods, and NGS library preparation / QC (Tape station, Qubit, etc.)
- Strong organizational, time management, and troubleshooting abilities with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Molecular biology mastery of nucleic acid extraction and purification.
- Hands‑on experience with Amplicon‑Sequencing, RNA‑seq, and single‑cell RNA‑seq.
- Familiarity with CRISPR‑based gene editing and high‑throughput screening.
- Experience with automation (Mantis, Integra systems, Liquid Handlers, SPTLabtech Firefly, Tecan, etc).
- Experience with ELN documentation.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
The position is Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA, are encouraged to apply.
