Gagne & Son is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to support our Southern Maine, New Hampshire, and Eastern Massachusetts territory. This role is focused on building long-term relationships with contractors and industry professionals across the region, growing existing accounts, and developing new business within an established territory.
This position is ideal for someone who understands the regional market, values relationship-based selling, and is comfortable working across state lines. Industry experience is strongly preferred.
Role and Responsibilities- Sales Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, landscape designers, dealers, and other key stakeholders.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product offerings, including hardscape, masonry, and concrete solutions, to effectively address client needs and provide tailored recommendations.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and applications of our products.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and improve product offerings.
- Sales Targets: Achieve or exceed sales targets, providing regular updates to the sales team on sales performance.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Southern Maine Store Teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from inquiry to post‑sale support.
- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in referenced markets with knowledge of building materials.
- Experience with quoting or bidding jobs using industry software.
- Account management or planning and estimating experience a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of construction processes and materials.
- Goal‑oriented and results‑driven mindset.
- Valid driver's license and insurable.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
