Overview
You will start your sales career supporting one of our life sciences clients in a hands-on, high-support environment focused on workforce solutions. This role is designed for early-career professionals who want to move into sales and are willing to put in the work to learn.
You will support a well-established life sciences services organization that partners with pharma, biotech, medical device, and diagnostics companies across the U.S. The client provides staffing and functional service provider solutions and is in growth mode, with strong leadership involvement and clear promotion paths.
Your main job is simple and demanding: create meetings, learn the business, and build the foundation to run your own book of business. After 12–18 months, the goal is promotion into a full Account Executive role.
What You Will Do Business Development & OutreachMake high-volume outbound calls, emails, and Linked In outreach every day
Contact hiring managers, talent leaders, and business stakeholders at life sciences companies
Focus on setting qualified meetings for senior sales leaders
Learn how to ask discovery questions and identify real client pain points
Research life sciences companies, pipelines, and functional teams
Learn core life sciences functions such as clinical, regulatory, quality, data, and manufacturing
Understand basic workforce solutions including staffing and FSP models
Join sales meetings with senior Account Executives and leaders
Observe and participate in discovery, solution discussions, and follow-ups
Receive direct coaching before and after meetings
Gradually take on more responsibility as skills improve
Log all activity accurately in Hub Spot
Track outreach, meetings, and follow-up tasks
Maintain clean and organized account and contact records
Consistently setting quality meetings
Strong daily activity and discipline
Clear improvement in sales conversations over time
Ability to explain client problems and proposed solutions
Readiness to manage accounts independently within 12–18 months
1–3 years of experience in life sciences recruiting, staffing, or a related role
Exposure to pharma, biotech, medical device, or diagnostics environments
Comfort making a high volume of phone calls
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Ability to work onsite in Boston multiple days per week
Prior recruiting experience in life sciences
Familiarity with CRM tools (Hub Spot preferred)
Exposure to sales, business development, or client-facing work
Base salary: $50,000–$65,000 depending on experience
Estimated year-one OTE: $75,000–$90,000
Variable pay is earned through a clear, activity-driven incentive plan focused on meetings set, meeting quality, and consistency
