Strategic Account Director

A field-based Strategic Account Director responsible for driving new business and expanding strategic relationships within biopharma accounts. The role focuses on selling Bioinformatic enterprise technology solutions that support research, clinical development, and data-driven workflows across the drug development lifecycle.

• Develop and execute a territory business plan in collaboration with technical, partner, and marketing teams
• Build senior stakeholder relationships and generate a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and close
• Grow existing accounts while securing net-new business
• Lead pilots and evaluations with clear success criteria tied to commercial outcomes
• Maintain accurate forecasting and achieve or exceed revenue targets
• Represent solutions at customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
• Coordinate partner engagement at the account level

• 10+ years of strategic enterprise sales experience in life sciences (pharma/biotech)
• Track record of closing complex, high-value deals with technical and business buyers
• Strong understanding of R&D, clinical development, and data/analytics workflows (e.g., biomarker discovery, trial design, patient stratification)
• Ability to communicate technical, scientific, and regulatory concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Experience with CRM tools and structured pipeline management
• Willingness to travel as needed
• MBA, PhD, MD, or relevant scientific master’s degree preferred (genomics, data science, molecular biology, or related fields advantageous)
