The Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for driving transient corporate revenue through the acquisition, growth, and retention of negotiated business travel accounts. This role focuses on building strategic, long‑term partnerships with corporate clients, travel managers, and TMCs while maximizing share, rate, and overall account production.
Duties and Responsibilities- Prospect, negotiate, and manage local and national business travel accounts
- Secure and renew negotiated corporate rate agreements aligned with revenue strategy
- Drive incremental room night production through account growth, market share expansion, and new account acquisition
- Conduct sales calls, client meetings, and hotel site inspections to strengthen relationships
- Analyze account performance, production trends, and market opportunities to drive strategic decisions
- Maintain accurate account, production, and activity tracking in the CRM system
- Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual transient revenue goals
- Assist the Director of Sales with marketing efforts through, hotel activations, outside sales calls, convention/show/booth events and other networking channels
- Responsible for the Development and execution of a Performance Agreement, Action Plan, and Learning Plan
- Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned
- 2–5 years of hotel sales experience with a focus on business travel or corporate transient
- Strong understanding of negotiated rate programs, LNRs, RFP processes, and TMC partnerships
- Proven success driving corporate account production and market share
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Data‑driven mindset with the ability to analyze reports and performance metrics
- Experience with Delphi, Opera, Salesforce, or similar CRM and PMS platforms
