We are partnering with our client, a global leader in oil and gas and mineral processing technology, providing engineered solutions and equipment worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven sales professional to join their team as a Senior Account Manager, managing high-value Oil Sands accounts, including major clients in the Fort McMurray region.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams — Executive Management, Sales, Engineering, Product Management, and Service — to deliver innovative, value‑driven solutions. Success in this position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a consultative, relationship‑focused sales approach. The successful candidate can be located in either Calgary or Fort McMurray.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans to grow equipment and aftermarket (parts and service) sales within key Oil Sands accounts.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets by identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Provide technical support and aftermarket expertise to major Fort McMurray Oil Sands clients.
- Create innovative, value‑added solutions to address customer challenges.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers to enhance market position.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of integrated solutions.
- Manage contracts, bids, forecasts, reports, and budgets.
- Deliver high‑level presentations to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Diploma (Engineering Technologist or equivalent) preferred.
- Specialization in rotating equipment for oil and gas or minerals industries is an asset.
- Minimum of five (5) years of technical and commercial sales experience, ideally with engineered pumping equipment or packaged solutions.
- Proven track record in aftermarket sales, relationship management, and high‑value account growth.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business and technical documents.
- Skilled at writing clear reports, correspondence, and procedures.
- Active listening and a consultative approach to solution selling.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Willingness to travel biweekly to Fort McMurray, approximately 40–50%.
The remuneration package includes a base salary of $125,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience, plus a performance‑based bonus program, car allowance, and a comprehensive benefits package, including RRSP matching.
