The Store Operations Assistant will support the daily operations of the store, ensuring the seamless merchandise flow from the stockroom to the sales floor through efficient stock replenishment, assisting with size checks and maintaining stockroom standards.
Key Responsibilities- Stock replenishment: regularly replenish shop floor displays and additional storage areas prior to opening and throughout the day. Ensuring products are available for customers and visual merchandising standards are maintained.
- Communication: share stockroom related updates, such as new arrivals, sell throughs or stockroom layout changes to the rest of the team.
- Size checks: respond to team requests for customer size checks, promptly finding the correct items in the stockroom and delivering them to the sales floor correctly and efficiently.
- Fitting rooms: support the shop floor team with processing items that have been tried on, returning them to their correct location on the shop floor or to the stockroom.
- Stockroom organization: maintain an organized stockroom by processing merchandise that is returned to the stockroom and ensuring it is packaged in line with company standards and placed in its correct location.
- Inventory management: assist in inventory counts and help manage stock levels, identifying any discrepancies or low-stock items.
- Customer service support: assist the sales team with customer inquiries related to products, sizes, or availability of items.
- Delivery management: support the Store Operations team with inbound and outbound shipments, including unpacking, tagging, and organizing new stock efficiently.
- Merchandising: collaborate with the visual merchandising team to ensure stock is displayed and maintained correctly.
- General store operations: assist with general store upkeep, including cleanliness, tidiness, and ensuring stock areas are safe, organized and maintained to company standards.
- Previous experience in a retail or stockroom environment is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Agile and able to adapt to the needs of the business.
