Base Pay Range

$65,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr

Our client, an elevated restaurant group, is seeking a passionate and team-oriented Sous Chef to join their back‑of‑house team in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with strong technical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. This role will support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, menu execution, and team development, ensuring smooth service and a positive, professional kitchen culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Line Cooks and Prep Cooks, ensuring consistency and quality at every station.
  • Execute menu items with precision, maintaining the restaurant’s high culinary standards.
  • Uphold strict health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen.
  • Help monitor inventory levels and communicate ordering needs to leadership.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment at all times.
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive, ego‑free, and team‑focused culture.
Key Qualifications
  • 2-3+ years of culinary experience required.
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a similar fast‑paced and high‑volume restaurant environment with a focus on food quality.
  • Thorough knowledge of cooking techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • A creative approach to food presentation.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Able to remain calm and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A culinary degree or certificate is required.
