OverviewThe role of an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager is actively engaged in all aspects of daily operation of Aura Restaurant, Tamo Bistro & Bar, Room Service, Private Dining Areas, Action Kitchen & Seaport Café. The manager partners with culinary counterparts to provide guests with a memorable dining experience, driving exceptional guest service in an energetic, professional environment that reflects core company values.
ScheduleRequirements
Schedule flexibility is required; the schedule will vary based on business needs. Working evenings, weekends, and holidays is a regular part of this position.
Responsibilities- Managing line staff
- Managing operations in line with the financial budget
- Executing strong operational standards
- Ensuring a robust up‑selling program in all areas
- Partnering with kitchen to ensure delivery times and maximize product quality
- Enforcing and following up on standards to maintain an efficient, clean and safe working environment
- Providing guests with memorable dining experiences
- Exhibiting trust, respect, accountability, commitment and passion
- Maintaining the daily managers log
- Accurately processing gratuities for employees
- Managing the employee schedule, including support documentation, and adjusting staffing levels as the business dictates
- Ensuring compliance with food, health, safety and liquor licensing laws and permits
- Promoting and integrating the company Vision, Mission and Purpose into everyday operations
- Completing duties or projects assigned by Management
- Strong relationship skills
- Driven individual who strives to achieve departmental goals
- Passion for food & beverage and strong desire for development
- Knowledge of front‑of‑house operations, including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction
- Experience with POS systems, preferably MICROS
- Computer skills, including Excel and Word
- Commitment to delivering high‑level customer service
- Excellent grooming standards
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to multi‑task
- Positive attitude
- Good communication skills
- Minimum of 2 years of food & beverage experience
- Minimum 1 year in a supervisory level position
- College degree or equivalent work experience
- Fluency in English (read, write, speak)
- Ability to understand, read and write instructions, memos, short correspondences and messages
