Job Summary

Responsible for assisting in preparing and cooking food items in specific sections or stations within the kitchen.

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards.
• Assist at a specific station or section within the kitchen, such as grill, sauté, pantry, or pastry.
• Utilize a variety of cooking techniques, such as grilling, frying, baking, roasting, and sautéing, to prepare dishes.
• Assist in the execution of menu items, ensuring that dishes are prepared accurately, consistently, and with attention to detail.
• Follow proper food safety and sanitation practices to ensure a clean and hygienic working environment.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and utensils clean, organized, and sanitized.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma in Culinary Arts preferred.
• Experience in lieu of a degree is accepted.
• 1-2 years of Line Cook or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, knife skills, seasoning, and flavor profiles.
• Understanding of food safety principles, proper food handling, storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and handle high‑pressure situations.
• Good communication skills for a team‑oriented kitchen environment.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and operate kitchen equipment.
• Adaptability to changing circumstances and problem‑solving on the spot.
