Medicinal Chemistry Vice President

• Lead the company's small-molecule drug discovery strategy
• Key leadership position in translating innovative biology into drug candidates.

This is an emerging biotechnology company developing next-generation targeted protein degradation therapeutics through its proprietary platform. The company focuses on addressing previously undruggable targets by leveraging innovative degrader technologies to selectively eliminate disease-causing proteins.

• Lead medicinal chemistry strategy across the company`s discovery pipeline.
• Drive hit identification, hit-to-lead, and lead optimization for novel small-molecule therapeutics.
• Design and guide innovative degrader or bifunctional molecule strategies targeting difficult proteins.
• Build and lead a high-performing medicinal chemistry team and collaborate with external CRO partners.
• Partner closely with biology, structural biology, computational chemistry, and translational teams.
• Advance first-in-class or best-in-class drug candidates toward IND-enabling studies.
• Contribute to portfolio strategy, scientific publications, and investor presentations.
• Maintain strong awareness of developments in targeted protein degradation, PROTACs, and novel modalities.

• PhD in Medicinal Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or related discipline
• 10-15+ years of drug discovery experience within pharmaceutical or biotechnology companies
• Proven leadership in medicinal chemistry programs from hit discovery through candidate selection
• Demonstrated success designing novel molecular entities that progressed into clinical development
• Prior experience from leading pharmaceutical companies or top-tier biotech
• Strong understanding of structure-based drug design and modern medicinal chemistry approaches
• Experience with targeted protein degradation, PROTACs, or bifunctional molecules is highly desirable
• Track record of patents, publications, and successful cross-functional collaboration
• Bilingual in Chinese and English are preferred
