The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. The above hiring range represents the University s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Responsibilities- Seeking a research technician who will be a proactive, organized, and helpful presence in a newly established group.
- Provide technical and operational support for a laboratory research program focused on experimental studies using mouse models.
- Perform routine molecular and laboratory assays under established protocols and close scientific supervision.
- Contribute to animal-based research including behavioral assays and transgenic mouse colony maintenance.
- Support experimental characterization efforts.
- Responsible for accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results, as well as maintaining laboratory supply inventory and preparation of standard reagents.
- Work is performed in a structured research environment with defined procedures, requiring reliability and strong organizational skills. Guidance is provided on techniques and tasks.
- Bachelor s degree required with 1-3 years of related experience.
