Job Description
The Feres Lab, located within the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, and Immunity, is currently seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to become part of our innovative research team. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to leading‑edge research at the intersection of applied machine learning and clinical dental practice. As a member of our team, you will help translate contemporary data science methods into clinical applications to enhance oral health care.
ResearchFocus
Under the supervision of principal investigators, the selected candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary research group, working on two major projects sponsored by the International Team for Implantology Foundation and Solventum Corporation. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing both clinical and applied machine learning studies, enrolling patients at the Harvard Dental Center, managing and preprocessing clinical data, supporting data analysis, and preparing research protocols and documentation.
This is an annual term appointment, reviewed each academic year on or before June 30th, with the possibility of extension depending on work performance, business needs, and continued funding.
Basic QualificationsMust possess a DMD or DDS degree from a CODA accredited dental school or foreign equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of mentored research experience in a dental and/or healthcare environment.
Additional QualificationsApplicants with experience in research at the intersection of dental medicine and applied machine learning are preferred.
