Position Description

We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the O’Connor lab at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, in the field of computational human genetics. Prospective postdoctoral researchers should hold a Ph.D. by the time they would begin their position. We are most interested in applicants who have experience in computational methods development, in human genetics or a different field.

Possible

areas of research include:

Developing methods to compare the genetic architecture of rare vs. common genetic variation

Developing methods to analyze GWAS data using graphical models and genome-wide genealogies

Developing methods to integrate rare protein coding genetic association data with functional and machine learning‑derived features

Developing methods to characterize the genetic architecture of autism

Salary and Benefits

Basic Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in areas such as computational human genetics or related fields
• At least one peer‑reviewed first‑author publication
