This position involves working independently and under general supervision from the Principal Investigator on NIH-sponsored research. The primary goals of the Post Doctoral Fellow are to lead the network data analysis in relation to cutting-edge research in neurology and network science and to supervise and assist with federally funded clinical studies that aim to investigate the relationships between patients' social networks and their clinical outcomes.
PrincipalDuties and Responsibilities
- Lead writing of academic articles.
- Conduct data analysis for clinical research studies as per study guidelines and protocols.
- Maintain the database for the study, monitor data quality, maintain data analysis records, and create data reports.
- Code and complete analyses related to the project in the R environment and other software platforms.
- Attend required meetings with PI and collaborators.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Doctoral Degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, population health, social sciences, physics, or related fields.
- Sound independent judgment, knowledge and experience in data analysis and competence in research methodologies.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Analytical skills and the ability to resolve technical or research problems and issues and interpret the acceptability of data results.
- Knowledge of clinical research protocols.
- High degree of data analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
- Careful attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism and respect for subjects' rights and individual needs.
- Knowledge of data management programs.
- Experience in scientific writing.
