Dog Stylist​/Groomer

Additional services, such as nail trimming, dental cleaning, and ear cleaning, may also be performed. They will make sure that all tools and equipment are consistently clean and in working order and will assist in maintaining the overall upkeep of the salon.

A dog stylist is expected to do the following:

• Bathe, condition, and dry dogs with products appropriate for skin & coat type
• Groom and style pets according to owner preference and/or breed standard
• Ensure all dogs are safely monitored at all times throughout the grooming process
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Inform Spa Manager of any/all health concerns that may be observed during the grooming process
• Safely de‑matt/detangle coat using appropriate tools
• Perform additional pet hygiene practices such as: nail trimming, tooth brushing, and ear cleaning
• Use the Onyva Solutions system to keep notes, photographs and time records on the dogs they work with
• Ensure all policies, procedures, and grooming guidelines set by ONYVA are upheld/adhered to.

This position requires employees to be on their feet for long periods of time with all work handling dogs occurring while standing. Dog Stylist/Groomer must be able to lift and manage dogs up to one hundred twenty‑five (125) pounds.
