CompensationTotal compensation within an annual salary range of $121,465 to $167,908. Final salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

Position OverviewBoston Medical Center is the largest safety net hospital in New England. Recruit two full‑time cardiovascular nurse practitioners to provide comprehensive, autonomous care in a multidisciplinary cardiology team.
Heart Failure Nurse Practitioner (HF NP) – Responsibilities- Comprehensive management of heart failure patients in the outpatient clinic.
- Coordinate patient education and perform intensive phone triage.
- Telephone‑based assessment and management of urgent heart failure concerns, medication adjustments, and urgent care needs to reduce hospital readmissions.
- Clinical management of cardiology patients receiving intravenous and subcutaneous therapies in outpatient or hospital‑based settings.
- Direct patient care in collaboration with cardiologists, NPs, and pharmacists.
- Initiate and manage IV infusion treatments, monitor responses, and coordinate ongoing cardiovascular care.
- Triage cardiology infusion requests from Emergency Department, outpatient clinics, and inpatient teams, determine appropriate follow‑up or HF infusion clinic care.
- Support patients receiving advanced subcutaneous therapies for amyloid cardiomyopathy and other infusion treatments.
- Outpatient clinic sessions may be scheduled on non‑infusion days.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage patients autonomously within defined protocols.
- Participation in care coordination: scheduling, post‑treatment follow‑up, and ordering/interpretation of diagnostic tests (labs, ECG, echo) to guide treatment decisions.
- Prior cardiology and heart‑failure clinical experience preferred.
- Nurse practitioner licensed to practice in Massachusetts.
- Reports to the Heart Failure Director, Chief APP, and Division Chief.
